Why call it The Fent?
Collins English Dictionary: Fent – Noun – a piece of waste fabric.
Basically, we have used our left-over fabric to make these lovely coats – so we called it The Fent Coat - a suggestion from a fellow Redhounder who knew the meaning of the word:
AND in our increasing effort to be more sustainable we decided to use some fabric from discontinued lines, taking up space in the stock room – space we need for winter stock! And make it into something useful for your dog!
The Fent Coat is a collarless coat, the same shape as our Hoxton Coat – shaped for your whippet or Italian Greyhound in all the right places.
Because this is left over fabric we have got limited numbers of coats but we have made it in 5 colours – Baby Pink, Lilac, Aubergine, Tangerine and Turquoise.
We’ve dug deep under the cutting table for lovely cotton linings left over from now discontinued styles and so there is a variety of linings, but all are coordinated – obviously!
So, why would you choose to buy the Fent Coat?
What sizes are there?
We have made some Iggy and few Small whippet, some Smedium, lots of Medium (the longer length) and some Large (also the longer length).
This pattern was always a bit skimpy in length and hind leg coverage so we have made the longer lengths.
Back lengths are:
If your dog is a Smedium in our jumpers and tees – order the Smedium coat – this is our old medium in the shorter length so should be a better fit than the longer Medium. It is also a bit smaller in the chest area.
All the stock is listed so if it shows to be OUT of STOCK we have no more – sorry!
